1. Privacy
Beekers Berries is the (trade) name of several companies based in Made, the Netherlands, which specialise in producing, storing, packing and selling soft fruit.
We consider it important that your privacy is handled with care, and therefore the personal data we collect is processed and secured with due care. This is done in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
This privacy statement summarises when and how your personal data is collected, used, secured and disclosed in connection with your access to and use of our applications, websites and all (other) features, software and services offered by us (the “Service(s)”). Our business activities take place within the European Economic Area (EEA) and we store our data on servers in the EEA, unless otherwise indicated.
We retain your personal data for as long as legally required. If no legal retention period applies to your personal data, we do not retain your data longer than strictly necessary.

These data are used solely based on your consent. If you no longer wish to receive the newsletter, you can unsubscribe via the unsubscribe link in the newsletter.
3.4.3 Additional survey questions
Not providing or objecting to the above-mentioned personal data has no consequences for your use of the Service. Refusing or withdrawing consent has no negative consequences for your use of the Service.
The above-mentioned personal data are processed as soon as you use the Service(s). Personal data that are only processed with your consent are processed once you have given consent or provided the personal data.
4. Sharing personal data
Unless otherwise stated in this privacy statement, we do not disclose, sell or trade any personal information about our visitors and users to third parties.
4.1 Sharing with processors
Beekers Berries may engage third parties to assist us in providing the Service(s). These third parties may, in the context of their role in delivering the Service(s), process your personal data. Such a third party is referred to as a “Processor”. With these Processors we conclude processing agreements.
We use the following categories of Processors:
- Developers and suppliers of software
- Storage of (personal) data and database management and maintenance
- Research agencies and analytical software to improve our services (including privacy-friendly configured Google Analytics, meaning no personal data are shared with Google)
- Hosting provider(s)
- Providers of relationship management software
In some cases, the Processor may collect your personal data on our behalf. We inform Processors that they may not use personal data obtained from us for any purpose other than delivering the Service(s). Beekers Berries is not responsible for any additional information you provide directly to Processors. We advise you to inform yourself about the Processor and its company before providing personal data.
4.2 Sharing personal data with third parties
We only share personal data with third parties if this is legally permitted or required. This may occur when:

- we have a legitimate interest
- we must comply with legal obligations
- it is necessary for performing our Service(s)
- those third parties are engaged by us to process certain data

- Where reasonably possible, backups of personal data are made.
- Sensitive information is encrypted where possible.
- Vulnerabilities in software are addressed as soon as reasonably possible.
Please note that our Processors are partly responsible for processing, managing or storing (part of) the personal data we receive. Processors are not permitted to use these data to advertise to you. These Processors are contractually obliged, through a processing agreement, to secure the personal data they receive from us.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. What choices do you have regarding the use of personal data?
Before we share your personal data with third parties in ways not covered by this privacy statement, including for direct marketing purposes, you will be notified and asked for consent at the time such data are collected.
We may send you marketing and promotional material about our products and services. If you no longer wish your information to be used for direct marketing, you may contact us via the email address listed under “Contact”.
You may also unsubscribe by following the instructions included with each promotional email. This does not affect our right and ability to send you Service- and account-related emails or to use personal data as described in this privacy statement.
We will comply with your request as soon as reasonably possible.
7. Your rights
You may view, check, update, rectify, transfer or delete your personal data collected through the website and the Service(s) by contacting us via the methods listed under “Contact”, or by using a specific function in the Service(s).
Please note that deleting personal data, limiting the processing, or withdrawing consent may in some cases lead to the termination of the right to use the Service(s).
We reserve the right to retain your personal data in our files if we consider it necessary or advisable to provide the Service(s) to others, resolve disputes, enforce applicable terms of use, comply with technical and/or legal requirements, and/or if the Service(s) require it.
You may request that we limit or stop processing your personal data in the future. We will comply, but this may restrict your use of the Service(s) or make it impossible to continue using them.
You have the right to have the personal data we process transferred to a third party, provided this is technically feasible.
When exercising any of these rights, you must provide sufficient proof of identity as requested. We reserve the right to deny access if there are doubts about your identity. We respond to all access requests within 4 weeks. For complex requests, this period may be extended by another 4 weeks. If we extend the deadline, you will be notified within 4 weeks.

We are happy to assist if you have questions or wish to file a complaint about the processing of your personal data. If we cannot assist you, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
9. Changes
Beekers Berries reserves the right to amend the provisions of this privacy statement. If we make changes, we will inform you accordingly. We recommend reading the latest version of the privacy statement periodically.
10. Cookies
A cookie is a simple small file that is sent with pages from this website and stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. The information stored in it can be sent back to our servers upon your next visit. This allows us to recognise you (your device) on your next visit.
This website places so-called cookies to increase the ease of use of the website. These data are also used for statistical purposes. Beekers Berries cannot trace these back to a device or individual. Cookies do not store information about your name, age, gender or other personal data.

Beekers Berries does not monitor and is not responsible for how third parties handle your personal data.
